How can we make the school system safe without bulling? Manrique Jimenez DeVry University How can we make the school system safe without bulling? What is Bullying? ââ¬Å"Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over timeâ⬠(Bullying). Bullying is a massive problem that has been occurring for years in the school systems. In most cases bullying is normally seen as a form of physical violence such as punching or pushing, but there are more types of bullying then just physical violence. For example, verbal and social bullying are two other types of bullying. Many peopleâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Bullying for younger kids is not very serious because it is more name calling than anything else. When starting middle school violence and social bullying begins. Middle school bullying is embarrassing someone in public, telling someone not to be friends with another person, and giving hand gestures. In high school similar issues but to it thereââ¬â¢s more to it like punching , spitting spreading rumors, your race, and whoââ¬â¢s better looking than others. Sarah Clerkson, 14 years of age, a victim of bullying gone wrong. Sarah was being bullied by other girls in her school because of her looks. Her parents decide to help her so she was forced to move to different school, but was undergoing emotional issues. She went to a house party one night and ââ¬Å"hanged herself â⬠¦ after suffering weeks of abuse from jealous bulliesâ⬠(Harding, 2013). John Moore, 16 years of age, the host of the party confirmed that she was sick and took her to the back room so she could rest. Everyone was worried about Sarah, John also said, ââ¬Å"At about 12.15am we went to see how she was. We got no reply and we had to kick the door downâ⬠(Harding, 2013). They began doing CPR on Sarah until the police showed up to continue it. The ambulance finally came and rushed here to North Durham University Hospital and could not be revived.
